WhatsApp is reportedly getting a new feature to view a business account status update. According to a report by WhatsApp Feature Tracker, the user can view the status of the account by tapping on the profile picture in the ‘Business Info’ page. The system is currently being developed for beta testers. And will be rolled out to other users in the coming days.

According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetainfo, WhatsApp is going to get a new feature. Accordingly, you can now see the status update of the business account by tapping on the profile picture in the business info page. So users will get two options – the option to view the profile photo and the option to view the status. Feature Tracker also notes that WhatsApp will continue to show status updates as per the old app.

WABetainfo also said that for the time being, this feature will only be available for business account users and will be available to other users in the future. A few months ago this feature was seen in WhatsApp code for Android Beta 2.21.17.5.
